Explore the Boro's Greenways and Downtown neighborhoods with RunnerDude!
Each Saturday in May and June, RunnerDude will take the group on a different route exploring the various greenways and neighborhoods of downtown. The runs will vary in length from 6 to 10 miles.
The pace will be conversational as the point of these runs is to get to know one another better and to get to know out city better. Ever wondered where Latham Park was? How about the Lake Daniel Greenway? What about Westerwood, Idlewood, Old Irving Park, Green Valley, Guilford Hills, College Hill, or Brown Town? You'll find out on these runs.
The first run will take place on Saturday, May 7th and it will begin in the parking lot behind RunnerDude's Fitness. Runners will each get a cue sheet with directions of the route to be run. Water/Gatorade will be provide at the end of the run. Runners will need to wear a hydration belt or carry a handheld bottle if water is needed during the run.
There will be 8 runs (May 7, 14, 21, 28, June 4, 11, 18, 25). Each run will explore a different area. Come with a sense of adventure and pride in our wonderful city and all the greenways and beautiful neighborhoods we have for running.
